This dreamy Boler belongs to Keri Latimer, a singer-songwriter who lives in Winnipeg.
The little egg was stolen from her home in August, but was luckily found a few days later- unharmed.

Check out Fanda1’s photo set on Flickr! She owns a 1974 Boler, and did an awesome job on the interior! The Ikea fabric and other bright colours make a huge difference!
I only hope mine looks as great when I’m done with it!

This lady was possessed (her words, not mine…read her blog!) by the thought of having a Boler and remodeling it into the leopard skin beauty it is today. That is a dream come true if I ever saw one! Although the theme isn’t exactly my taste, I absolutely admire her commitment and attention to detail. It looks so fantastic! I’m not sure why she had to sell, but I’m sure whoever bought it is enjoying having the boldest Boler on the road!
If you had the chance to do something like this, what would your dream theme be?

Yet another possible colour scheme for when we redecorate the Boler…The thing I like about this scheme is that the green matches the outside of the trailer, and that shade of green is very retro. I’m considering this palette, but truthfully it’s not captivating me like the two others are.

I’ll need to order a couple before we take the Boler out so I can pack all the camping supplies in them!

This is another colour scheme I have in mind for the Boler interior…It’s breezy but not too beachy, and just the right touch of retro. The thing I’m a little hesitant about is that although it’s more subtle than the last palette, the absence of gray makes it more of a commitment. The gray in the first scheme is the anchor of the whole palette, so that if I ever got sick of the bright colours or just wanted to do something different, the gray can still be a good base for other ideas. In this scheme, the yellow or the blue are the main colours, which limits what you can do in the future if you want to change it up.

Palette ideas…
One thing I will have to figure out before I get anywhere with giving the Boler a make-over is deciding what my colour scheme will be.
Tonic Living is a very cool website that sells vintage-looking fabrics. One of the things I love the most about this website is that when you look at a fabric, other coordinating fabric samples are shown with it! You’ve basically got a ready-made colour scheme without even having to go through the effort of checking out every fabric!
I’m liking the punchy colours in the above collection. I haven’t settled on it yet though, because there are a few other schemes I’m contemplating as well…but right now this is the one that catches my eye the most. It’s just so happy!
If I were to go with this one, I would definitely use the gray to upholster the cushions (I think neutral is always best for things that can’t be easily switched up), and the zig zag fabric for throw pillows. I’d probably paint the cupboard doors in the green, get a small throw-rug in the red (for under the sink or in front of the door), and accessorize in the turquois-y colour (dishes, salt & pepper shakers, etc).

You HAVE to check out the Etsy shop Anatomically Incorrect Creatures! They sell “Unique Faux Taxidermy & Humorous Hybrid Plush Trophies”.
I stumbled upon this shop through Heartsy (Like Groupon, but strictly for Etsy) a few weeks ago, and knew at once that when we finally got our Boler and started decorating it, I would absolutely have to have one of these hanging in it:

The creator calls him “Mr. Deer Moose-Stachio”, and he is AWESOME.

Here are a few interior shots of the Boler…They’re from the camera on my phone, so they aren’t too great. Also, I didn’t feel like folding the dinette into the bed, or the couch into the bunks, so these pictures don’t really give the full effect of how awesome this little camper is. I’ll post some way better pictures once we find our camera charger. (I know it’s around here somewhere…)
